Featuring Lezlie Anders
The legendary Buddy Greco, whose piano playing and singing have taken him from symphony halls to Las Vegas showrooms, opened his own club in Cathedral City this year. As something of a tribute to 1960s New York and Chicago hot spots, Buddy Greco´s Dinner Club offers a walk down Memory Lane for the older crowd and the closest thing the younger crowd will get to the original pop standard experience.
Memorabilia includes photos of Greco with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin (Greco performed with the Rat Pack in the ´60s). Vocalist Lezlie Anders joins Greco on some songs, and visiting guests have included Barbara McNair, Dick Contino, and Pete Barbutti. As for the dinner part of the club, look for special Chasen´s offerings (Chef Isabel Talamantes´ father was head chef at Chasen´s).
