Giving Back to the Community

Welcome to the charities area of our site. There are hundreds of local charities in the Coachella Valley offering assistance to those in need. We offer listings and features to these organizations at no cost to them as our way of giving back to the desert communities. Many of the charities found on our site have benefited greatly from the kind generosity of local businesses that have chose to offer sponsorship in the form of advertising.

Charities on this page are sectioned off simply by the city in which their offical contact address is located, however their services may expand to a much larger area. Offical websites can be found by following the link attached to the name of the charity just above their address. Please keep in mind that the charities listed here are by no means exhaustive, explore the "Charities, Museum & Art" category located above for just some of the additional charities listed in our site.

"Safety Education for Children"

Christopher´s Clubhouse is dedicated to the son of Mika Moulton.

Mika began her quest and demand for life skills to be taught to children in 1995. At that time her 10-year-old son, Christopher, was abducted. 8 days later, his badly decomposed body was found buried in a shallow grave, stabbed over 50 times and mutilated. The monster who committed this horrendous crime had been recently released from prison for murdering a 5-year-old girl. He is currently serving life without parole.

Mika has a passion for safety education being taught to children. She is also a member of the Surviving Parents Coalition, Team HOPE and a frequent speaker of crimes agains children. Her dedicated focus is bringing to the Coachella Valley a community proven & effective education tool to ensure a secure environment for all children.

The sad reality is that today´s world is not a safe place for children. With YOUR help we can stop predatory crimes against them. Safe schools and neighborhoods do not happen automatically. It requires the support and collaboration of students, staff, parents and the community.
