Our conveniently located airport facility features all of the amenities, flair and comfort of a modern commercial airline VIP lounge — and all of the services are provided to America’s brave young warriors and their families free of charge! We do everything possible to ensure our troops have a safe and comfortable place to relax while on the move through Palm Springs to US or worldwide locations. Since its opening on December 14th 2006, the PSP USO Center has been “a home away from home” for over 26,000 of our American troops and their families travelling to and from new duty stations around the globe.
Our PSP Service Center works everyday to assist American military personnel and their families. It ensures travellers have a safe and comfortable place to relax while awaiting flights to foreign destinations, or transportation to our own 29 Palms Marine Corps Base. We provide assistance selecting hotels, restaurants, local entertainment, and transportation options.
We provide a television lounge with a large library of current and classic films on DVD and video, Internet-connected computers for e-mail, web surfing and computer games, a fully-stocked snack bar with “GI-approved comfort foods”, a lending library of books, newspapers, magazines, and more. All services are provided free of charge to the troops and their families.
We need your help to continue to provide assistance to those young men and women who are defending the cause of democracy and freedom around the globe. Our resources and funds must be constantly renewed to provide continuing and sustained support to our troops. It costs us about $3 per guest to provide all our services and refreshments, and we have averaged over 1200 guests per month since July '08.
